Paw Patrol And Rubble Crew Renewed For Two Additional Seasons At Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon and Spin Master Entertainment have announced that they are renewing global preschool hit PAW Patrol® and its hit spinoff Rubble & Crew™ for additional episode cycles. Both animated series have been picked up for an additional 26 episodes each, marking seasons 14 and 15 for the top-rated, award-winning PAW Patrol, and the fifth and sixth seasons of Rubble & Crew.

PAW Patrol currently ranks as the #1 preschool series on all TV year-to-date with premieres among Kids 2-5. PAW Patrol is also the #1 cross-platform preschool franchise in year-to-date among Kids 2-5, generating over 8 billion minutes viewed.*

This summer, new episodes of PAW Patrol will premiere Fridays at 10am (ET/PT), beginning June 5, while all-new season five episodes of Rubble & Crew will air at 10:30am (ET/PT), beginning July 10, on Nickelodeon. Both will encore the next day, Saturdays at 11am (ET/PT) and 11:30am (ET/PT), respectively, on the Nick Jr. channel.

Fans can stream the Paramount+ PAW Patrol PAWsome collection, featuring multiple seasons, blockbuster hits PAW Patrol: The Movie and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, the hit spinoff Rubble & Crew, and fan-favorite specials, including the new high-octane PAW Patrol: Air Rescue compilation, where Ryder and the pups suit up for a high-flying, action-packed rescue adventure on the ground and in the sky.

PAW Patrol and Rubble & Crew represent a powerhouse in kids’ streaming music, with PAW Patrol alone exceeding 10M weekly streams across all platforms and its platinum-certified theme song surpassing 655M global streams. The 2026 pipeline includes 20+ new releases for the franchise, with music that consistently debuts among the Top 3 new Kids music releases on Spotify and Apple Music.

In seasons 14 and 15, the PAW Patrol is on a roll with adventures that take the pups from the prehistoric wilds of Dinosaur Island to the rock-climbing heights of Rescue Mountain. Along the way, they’ll team up with new friends--from a speedy racing pooch to the legendary Abominable Snow Pup--proving that for this team, no job is too big, no pup is too small!

In the upcoming fifth and sixth seasons of Rubble & Crew, fans will strap on safety gear and get ready for demolition, as Builder Cove’s construction heroes become the Wrecking Crew, moving from construction to destruction. They’re not putting things up--they’re smashing, bashing, and crashing things down.

This summer will also see the PAW Patrol pups bound back onto the big screen in their third theatrical adventure, in theatres Friday, August 14. In PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, directed by Cal Brunker, after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol pups crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When the PAW Patrol's archrival, Mayor Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt. The PAW Patrol pups are thrown into a series of high-stakes, dino-sized rescues bigger than anything they've done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.

The PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie voice cast includes Carter Young, Mckenna Grace, Terry Crews, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Hayden Chemberlen, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Rain Janjua, Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, Lucien Duncan-Reid, William Desrosiers, Nylan Parthipan, and Snoop Dogg, and introduces Henry Bolan.

Britney Spears At The Recording Studio | South Park | Comedy Central

Britney technically made her first South Park appearance in the episode, "The Succubus", the optometrist shows Eric Cartman a picture of Spears and a picture of Carmen Electra and asks him to say which one looks better. Cartman selected Electra over Spears. Spears was next seen in the episode, "Christian Rock Hard" as one of the artists supporting the strike against illegal music downloading. Due to illegal downloading, Britney found herself unable to purchase a private plane with a remote control system, and the loss was apparently devastating for her.

Britney's most prominent role however was in "Britney's New Look". Due to years of abuse from the tabloid media, Spears attempts to hide in South Park and recover. However, after footage is shot of her peeing on a ladybug, she slowly starts to lose grip on herself, feeling at a loss for why everyone wants to hate her so much. She is finally pushed over the edge by the Boys who try and force her to take a picture of her pooping on a squirrel.

She offers them an alternative picture and proceeds to shoot her own head off with a shotgun. She survives, though the top of her head is missing, and Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflovski offer to help her any way that they can. To their bewilderment, however, Britney's manager forces her to make another record and perform at the MTV music awards, where Britney is continued to be insulted and ridiculed by the world following a poor live performance (which was primarily caused her disfigurement). Hating to see Britney so broken down, Stan and Kyle try and escort her to the North Pole in the hopes of getting her away from the media. However, they are chased down into an empty field where it seems everyone has gathered so as to finally finish off Spears.

It is revealed that the entire population has intentionally built-up Spears as an icon, so as to sacrifice her for good corn harvest. However, unlike in the early days where they killed the sacrifice themselves, they instead use the media to push the girl over the edge and thus end her own life. They then proceed to take photos of her until at last she dies. A poster featuring Spears appears at a ticket booth in the episode, "The Ring", showing her with the top of her head again, although this may just be a poster for a past concert. Britney, however, is shown to be alive again (although still missing the top of her head), as a background character in the episode "200", in which she joins with other celebrities to get revenge on South Park for all the mocking and abuse they suffered.

How Did Casper The Friendly Ghost Die?

Casper the Friendly Ghost made his theatrical debut in I. Sparber's 1945 short "The Friendly Ghost," released by Famous Studios. The gimmick of the short was that a boy-like apparition named Casper, feeling lonely and wanting friends, would causally approach animals and adults to introduce himself only to see them flee in terror. He is, after all, a ghost. Only open-minded children could see that Casper wasn't a threat and befriend him.

The success of "The Friendly Ghost" led to 54 additional Famous Studios Casper shorts that lasted through 1959. Casper also began starring in a series of Harvey Comics in 1951, and the character's mythos expanded greatly. He soon became friends with a witch named Wendy and was bullied by some baddies called the Ghostly Trio. The comics and shorts also spawned multiple TV shows to feature the Friendly Ghost, mostly in the 1960s and 1970s, and his popularity was retained throughout the 1980s through incessant reruns. In 1995, Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment released a big-budget, high-profile, live-action "Casper" movie, directed by Brad Silberling, which realized the Friendly Ghost in CGI. The $55 million film earned an impressive $288 million at the box office and left a deep mark on kids who saw it.

The 1995 "Casper" movie was the first time Casper's ghostliness was addressed directly. Casper, after all, had to die to become a Friendly Ghost, and audiences finally had to note that this was actually the story of Casper the Little Dead Boy. In a brief moment at the end of the film, Casper is resurrected, played by actor Devon Sawa.

This begs the very practical question: how did Casper die? What tragedy befell the young Casper McFadden that he was killed and left on the Earthly plane as a spirit?

What was the sad fate of Casper the Little Dead Boy?

In Silberling's film, a young girl named Kat (Christina Ricci) and her psychologist father Dr. Harvey (Bill Pullman) move into the haunted house where Casper (Malachi Pearson) and the Ghostly Trio (Brad Garrett, Joe Alaskey, and Joe Nipote) hang out. Throughout the film, Kat becomes friends with Casper, and the Ghostly Trio plays a prank on Dr. Harvey ... by telling him they have access to his dead wife. Casper eventually reveals that he caught pneumonia and died after playing in the snow.

Casper returned as a ghost, however, and began to haunt his own father, a mad scientist named J.T. McFadden. Dr. McFadden invented a machine to transform his ghostly son back into a mortal being after being tormented by visions of his dead son's spirit. McFadden would have used his Lazarus machine, but he was declared insane and committed to an asylum before he had a chance. Because Casper is a ghost, he can't remember all the details of his life.

And the story bears a note of tragedy beyond Casper's mere death. It seems the reason Casper was out in the cold catching pneumonia is because his father bought him a brand-new sled, and Casper loved it so much, that he rode it all day and into the night. His father was indirectly responsible for his son's illness.

The 1995 film was the first time Casper's death was explicitly mentioned. In previous Harvey Comics, Casper was never alive, having been born to a ghost mother and a ghost father. The fact that ghosts can breed is a theological can of worms we're not going to open here. The 1995 film was also the first time Casper the Little Dead Boy was given a last name. Up until then, Casper was just known as The Friendly Ghost.

Other theories about Casper's death

Prior to 1995, there were theories — openly perpetuated by "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening — that Casper was actually the ghost of Richie Rich, another character published by Harvey Comics. When one looks at drawings of Casper and Richie side-by-side, one will note that they have similar head and body proportions, as well as the same large eyes. Both Casper and Richie also live in enormous mansions. Groening felt that Richie Rich died as a child, and his spirit remained in his mansion in perpetuity. "Perhaps he realized how hollow the pursuit of money really is and took his own life," Lisa Simpson once posited. Because ghosts have faulty memories, Richie started going by the name Casper.

Some have taken the Casper/Richie story one step further by suggesting that Richie Rich's parents fell upon hard times and had to murder their child for the insurance money. Casper, in that case, would have returned from the grave as a vengeful spirit.

Of course, Casper and Richie Rich did occasionally meet one another in cross-over comics from Harvey, so that theory doesn't hold a lot of water (or ectoplasm, as the case may be). It also doesn't jive with the 1959 short "Casper's Birthday Party" wherein audiences met Casper's ghostly parents. Either Casper and his family all died together (which is possible), or Casper lives in a universe of mating ghosts (also possible, though disturbing to ponder). Or perhaps Casper revenge-killed them, and all three lost their memories of the murder and began living together again in ghostly familial bliss (definitely also possible).

The Boys Play At Michael Jefferson's House | South Park | Michael Jackson

In "The Jeffersons", after years of being targeted by the police, Michael Jefferson moves to South Park into what is said to be "The Donovans' Old Residence" with his son, Blanket Jefferson. Michael hopes that he can escape the police's constant attempts at framing him for child molestation. When Blanket makes friends with the boys, Jefferson quickly steals them for himself, in his continued attempts at regaining his lost childhood, often at the neglect of his own son. Jefferson is quickly targeted by the Park County Police Force, upon discovering that a rich black man had moved to town.

His new home in South Park is similar to his Neverland Ranch, as he has various expensive things including a cotton candy machine, arcade games, an amusement park, a train that children can ride, and even a small zoo in his backyard. He seems most fond however of his 'wishing tree' in which he climbs into and sings while not knowing his son Blanket can't climb the wishing tree.

Lost SpongeBob x Blink 182 'All the Small Things' Music Video From MTV2's Video Mods

SpongeBob SquarePants is the perfect franchise for lost media. A Blink 182 "All the Small Things" music video supposedly aired on MTV2 in the mid 2000s as part of the network's MTV2's Video Mods, but this lost SpongeBob video was never confirmed. After a hunt spanning more than a decade, the hunt has officially ended.

SpongeBob's lost music video takes character models from the video game SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants and uses them in a new way. Everyone meets up in the Krusty Krab, outside the pineapple home, and even in the Patty Wagon to sing and dance. The whole thing is an amazing find for the lost media community.

The newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed is currently available in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal.

Much like the original series, Rugrats (2021) followed the adventures of Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil and Lil as they take on the world with their pint-sized perspectives and a diapie full of snacks.

The news follows Nickelodeon International premiering season two of Rugrats (2021), including never-before-aired episodes, in March. Unfortunately, Rugrats (2021) was canceled mid-way through its season two run in the U.S. eventually being removed from Nickelodeon and Paramount+ altogether.

Season three of Rugrats (2021) will see the babies travel to Area 54, Phil and Lil meet their "Howard", and Chas and Kira get married!

Didi books a doggie makeover for Spike that temporarily paints him to look like a tiger, and when the babies see him, they're convinced he's somehow been transformed into a real wild animal. Darsh and Nyra, who know a lot about tigers, explain to Tommy that Spike will have to leave the house and go live among other tigers, but Tommy is sure he can teach Spike how to overcome his new wild-animal instincts. The babies work together to help Spike learn, but the harder they try, the more difficult their job seems. // At the Senior Center, Angelica sees a framed photo of the "Grandchild of the Month" and learns the seniors will be awarding this title to a new grandchild today. With Begley immediately volunteering to be her campaign manager, Angelica runs an aggressive race, trying her best to woo seniors around the building. At first it seems like she's running unopposed, but her brash approach soon drives Begley to jump ship and support a new, popular challenger: Tommy! Who will be victorious in the end?

Tuesday 2nd June 2026 - Bookworm / The Cookie Test: Booky the Bookworm arrives at the library to read the kids a story, but Phil loses his pet worm Todd Jr. in the excitement. // Angelica tries to teach Chuckie and Kimi how to speak up for what they want, since they're going to be living together. Kimi shows the babies around the library where Kira works, as everyone gathers for story time with special guest Booky the Bookworm. Upon returning to their seats, the babies realize Todd Jr. is missing. Now, they must search the entire library to find Todd Jr. before story time starts.// The friends are finally able to check out Chas's and Kira's new house, and the babies immediately explore upstairs to check out the bedrooms. Chuckie badly wants the "Bird Room," while Kimi prefers the "Clown Room," but they each assume the other shares their own preference. Both trying to be polite, Chuckie takes the "Clown Room," and Kimi takes the "Bird Room." Angelica warns each of them that continuing to act like a pushover will have dangerous consequences, and Chuckie and Kimi start to worry that their lives are doomed if they don't start speaking up about what they truly want.

Wednesday 3rd June 2026 - Mudville / Stepping Stone: Darsh shows Phil and Lil that they have individual talents and the twins soon question their entire dynamic as a duo. // Angelica's plan to befriend Nyra backfires when she accidentally gets herself labeled as Darsh's friend instead. (#303)

As the babies play at the park, Phil and Lil are in their usual twin mode, reading each other's minds and acting perfectly in step with each other. But when Darsh suggests a game of "Lizard Catcher" to Phil, Phil discovers it's kind of nice doing something without Lil. Soon, Darsh proposes a game of "Bug World Designer" to Lil, who undergoes a similar revelation. But by the time all the babies come together to build a giant "Mudville," Phil and Lil are no longer willing to work together at all. // When the Mehtas stop by Angelica's house, Angelica tries her best to impress Nyra, but Darsh is the only one who seems interested in befriending her. Angelica is thrilled when Nyra invites her to come along with the Mehtas for the day, but her excitement turns to mortification when it's specified that this would be a playdate with Darsh, not Nyra. The more Angelica tries to shake off Darsh, the more attached he grows, and the further away friendship with Nyra appears to drift.

As the dads prepare for a trip out to the desert with the babies, Angelica overhears Betty talking about Phil's and Lil's donor, Howard, explaining that the twins got certain traits from him (like their love of sour things and affinity for bugs). Betty mentions that Howard is coming to visit this weekend, information that Angelica passes along to the excited babies. During their trip, Phil and Lil devise tests to see if a couple men they meet along the way might be their Howard, but neither one seems to fit the description. However, Randy has secretly planned for their campsite to be right near Area 54, a top-secret government facility alleged to contain aliens, and this sparks the babies to wonder if Phil's and Lil's Howard might really be an alien-a theory that makes total sense to them. When Randy and Varun take the babies on a nighttime stroll to check out Area 54, the babies envision a fantasy in which this alien Howard beams them up onto his spaceship and introduces himself.

Saturday 6th June 2026 - Wild Doll / The Pest Plant: Angelica's parents give her and Cynthia a timeout for misbehaving but Cynthia refuses to accept her consequences and runs amok. // Tommy, jealous of the attention Dil is getting, wishes a Venus flytrap would eat his brother, but then regrets doing so (#306)

(#308)

Tuesday 9th June 2026 - New Year on Ice: On New Year's Day, the group goes to a live performance of "Reptar in Space on Ice: The Musical Experience." Chuckie and Kimi worry that becoming one family means they can only do things one way, but they have different plans for how to help Reptar. (#309)

The morning of New Year's Day, Chuckie and Kimi discuss the different traditions each of their families has, worrying that their new blended family will be forced to choose ONE way of doing things from now on-whether that's how they celebrate the New Year, or how they do story time at night. Later, the friend group goes to see "Reptar in Space on Ice: The Musical Experience" together. While Angelica tries to bond with Nyra, who she learns is a huge Reptar fan, Kimi and the babies get caught up in the show's plot, watching in despair as Reptar's nemesis Arachno defeats him in a battle early on. Chuckie comes up with a plan to help Reptar recover and regroup, but Kimi disagrees, arguing that they should instead focus on stopping Arachno. Chuckie's and Kimi's inability to compromise leads to both of their plans failing, until Phil and Lil suggest they try working together. In doing so, Chuckie and Kimi learn that the Finster-Watanabe family will be able to keep their favorite traditions AND make new ones together.

Wednesday 10th June 2026 - Flower Girl / Flight of the Finster: Angelica, envious that Kimi gets to be a flower girl at Chas's and Kira's wedding, tries to figure out a way to be one, too.// Chuckie is happy to let his big sister Kimi be overprotective of him, but soon realizes that life on "easy mode" is no fun. (#310)

Angelica and the babies learn that Kimi is going to be a flower girl at her mama's wedding, and after hearing about the glory this job entails, Angelica grows determined to be one too. She tries to arrange a wedding between Fluffy and Spike, which fails miserably, and to her disappointment, none of the adults in her life seem like they might get married soon... except for Lou, who has a song performance with Celeste this evening. Unbeknownst to him, Angelica sees tonight as the perfect opportunity to strut her stuff as a flower girl. // The babies are excited for the Senior Center Carnival, where there will be an awesome airplane ride. To prepare, they set up a few "pilot training" tests, but when Kimi sees Chuckie participating, she worries that she's not doing enough as a big sister to protect him. Chuckie soon learns that if he plays into Kimi's concerns, she'll make everything easier for him, including all the games at the carnival. But when she forbids him from going on the airplane ride, he realizes he's gone too far.

Thursday 11th June 2026 - The Toy Box / The Pit: The babies travel to Toyland and find their toys have come to life... but Tommy and Chuckie have been turned into toys themselves!//When Phil gets stuck in a pit, the babies wonder why Lil would rather chase a porcupine than help get her brother out. (#311)

Stu's latest invention, Tori the Talking Toy Box, encourages the babies to tidy up by depositing their toys in "Toyland." But when Tommy and Chuckie try to recover Mr. Tippy Cup (whom Chuckie regrets throwing in), all the babies are magically transported to Toyland as well. And even more shocking-Tommy and Chuckie have been transformed into toys themselves! As the two try to decide how they feel about this new way of life, all the babies come to discover that Toyland isn't quite as perfect as it seems.// While Uncle Jake and Trish show KlickKlack viewers how to forage for cooking ingredients, the babies forage as well, searching for ingredients to make forest brownies. However, Phil and Lil soon get sidetracked following a porcupine, until Phil suddenly falls into a pit. Lil alerts the other babies, but they're confused when she doesn't seem interested in helping them rescue Phil; she just remains focused on finding the porcupine. Oh, well-at least they have forest brownies to share with Phil in the meantime!

Friday 12th June 2026 - Dinner Guest / Bucket List: Susie hosts a dinner party for her friends, but her special guest Bonesy (a model skeleton from Randy's classroom) goes missing. // Darsh thinks he'll be starting preschool soon, so he tries to fit every activity into this final day with his friends. (#312)

As Randy and Lucy prep for their dinner party, Susie wonders how she can entertain her own guests, the other babies. Her answer? Bonesy, the model skeleton Randy brought home from school! Meanwhile, the adult guests grow convinced that Bonesy is part of some mystery game Lucy and Randy have planned. When Randy moves Bonesy to get him out of the way, Susie and her friends try to figure out where their new friend has disappeared to, while the grownups try to figure out what the party's mystery theme actually is. // Ms. Marjorie stops by the Mehtas' house to discuss a design opportunity at the Whole Child Center preschool, but Nyra misunderstands her visit as a sign that Darsh will be attending the school starting tomorrow. Faced with this ticking clock, Darsh endeavors to do everything he's ever wanted to do in this one day he has left before going off to preschool forever. His friends are supportive, of course, but they eventually realize that rushing through fun activities kind of takes away the "fun" part.

Saturday 13th June 2026 - Big Cake Day Part 1: When a broken vase threatens to ruin Chas and Kira's wedding, Angelica and an unseen Wise Fox lead the babies around the world to fix it. In the end, the babies and Angelica learn they need each other-Angelica's the glue that holds them all together. (#313)

Chas and Kira are getting married today, and their backyard has been transformed into a Japanese garden for the celebration. Angelica warns the babies that nothing better go wrong, otherwise no one will get to eat the big cake. Of course, as soon as she makes this announcement, a special Japanese vase sent by Kira's parents shatters into pieces. Angelica plans to travel quickly to Japan and acquire a replacement, but she soon learns from an unseen Wise Fox that there is no replacement; the babies must find the pieces of the broken vase, which have been scattered all over the world. And if that doesn't sound difficult enough, Angelica is tasked with helping make sure the babies succeed... but they're not allowed to know she's helping! The Wise Fox sends his raccoon-dog assistant with Angelica to make sure she follows the rules, as the babies (shadowed by Angelica) travel to a mountain, a desert, Antarctica, and the ocean to collect the pieces of the vase in time for Chuckie's daddy's wedding.

In the end, the babies and Angelica learn they need each other-Angelica's the glue that holds them all together. (#314; series finale)

SpongeBob Ahoy! | Pilot | Nickelodeon

SpongeBoy, Ahoy! (or simply SpongeBoy) is a Columbian animated comedy television series created in 1996 by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. It chronicles the adventures of the title character and his aquatic friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom.

SpongeBoy began life as The Intertidal Zone, an educational comic Hillenburg created for his marine biology class. Hillenburg joined Nickelodeon in 1992, where he worked as an artist on Rocko's Modern Life. After the end of Rocko, Hillenburg began developing SpongeBoy. In 1995, a seven-minute pilot was pitched to Nickelodeon, who greenlit the series.

Spongeboy debuted on May 1, 1996, gaining enormous popularity by its second season. The show lasted two seasons for a total of 50 episodes, ending on June 10, 2001. The show would inspire a 2004 feature film and has a continued presence in merchandise and other media. Re-runs of the show have aired on Nick PT and in syndication, and the show continues to be aired.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Renewed For A Third And Final Season On Disney Channel

The Russos are coming back for one last spell: "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place" has been renewed for a four-episode third (and final!) season dropping on Disney+ this summer.

So, what can fans expect from this farewell event? "Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father," reads the official logline. "As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them."

In addition to guest-starring in several Season 3 episodes, executive producer Selena Gomez will  also make her directorial debut with the premiere. Production on the final season begins next week.

A continuation of Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," which originally aired from 2007 to 2012, "Beyond" follows a grown-up Justin Russo (David Henrie) as he schools a new generation of spellcasters on the ways of wizardry. This new generation includes Justin's sons Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko), as well as Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), a young wizard with a mysterious past — and an even more mysterious destiny — who comes to live with the Russos at the behest of Justin's sister Alex (Gomez).

Additional characters include Justin's wife Giada (Mimi Gianopulos) and Billie's bestie Winter (Taylor Cora), two mortals who regularly find themselves caught up in the family's magical shenanigans.

Whoopass Stew | PowerPuff Girls Pilot | Cartoon Network

"Whoopass Stew - A Sticky Situation" or "Whoopass Girls - A Sticky Situation" is a one-reel film and the first ever appearance of The Powerpuff Girls.

It was a project that Craig McCracken made while in CalArts animation college in 1992. He sent it off to Cartoon Network while working at Hanna-Barbera Studios. It had to be renamed to "Powerpuff Girls" as "Whoopass Girls" was an unacceptable name for the channel's target audience. McCracken had four shorts planned out, but only this one got finished due to Cartoon Network's lack of interest in the original concept

Daria: Is It College Yet? (Full Movie & Synopsis)

Daria and Jane discuss their plans for attending college. Daria's first choice is Bromwell University, a fictionalized version of Harvard or Yale, and her second choice is the selective but less elite Raft College. Jane's first choice is Boston Fine Arts College (BFAC), but she also intends to apply to two state schools as a backup.

Daria's boyfriend Tom Sloane, who is a legacy at Bromwell, is excited about the prospect of attending college with Daria. Tom's mother agrees to drive them to tour Bromwell in fictional Newtown, followed by Raft in Boston. At Bromwell, Tom charms the admission officer with stories about his family's experiences there, while a nervous Daria fumbles her interview. The next day, Tom and his mother make plans that cause the group to get a late start, and, to Daria’s dismay, they arrive at Raft after the admissions office has closed. Daria is accepted by Raft, but wait listed by Bromwell. Tom gets into Bromwell and offers to have his parents write Daria a letter of recommendation, but she declines.

Jane is overwhelmed with creating a portfolio for her BFAC application. After being rejected by several less demanding colleges, she considers skipping college entirely. Her older brother Trent encourages this idea, but Daria talks her into sending a portfolio to BFAC in exchange for Daria's accepting Tom's parents' offer to write her a letter. Trent initially calls her a sellout, but finally admits he was just upset that she might be leaving. Jane points out he can visit Boston to play gigs and sleep on her floor. Despite the letter of recommendation, Daria does not get into Bromwell. To Tom's surprise, Daria breaks up with him, explaining that their lives are diverging and the relationship has run its course.

Jodie, exhausted from being the model minority student at Lawndale, wants to attend historically black Turner College, while her parents expect her to attend the exclusive Crestmore University. Jodie is accepted by both, but does not believe she can attend Turner if her parents do not accept her decision. Mack contacts Jodie's father to explain her distress, leading to her parents changing their minds. Mack is accepted to Vance College on scholarship. While they will be geographically separated, Jodie is convinced this experience has brought them closer.

Brittany is accepted to local Prairie State University, but boyfriend Kevin will need to repeat his senior year due to abysmal grades. Embarrassed, Kevin tries to hide this from Brittany before coming clean, and asks if she will stay with him through college. Brittany promises she will, while secretly crossing her fingers.

Daria's younger sister, Quinn, gets her first job as a restaurant hostess and befriends a co-worker named Lindy, who is in college. Quinn notices Lindy has a drinking problem, which culminates with Lindy arriving at work drunk and getting fired. Unsure whether to encourage Lindy to seek help, Quinn seeks Daria's advice. Inspired by Daria's honesty in breaking up with Tom even though it caused her to feel lonely, Quinn determines that she will be honest, too. Quinn also tells Daria that she will have friends in college because the social dynamics are different from high school. When Quinn visits Lindy, Lindy gets angry and tells Quinn to leave. A few days later, Lindy apologizes but still insists that she is not an alcoholic.

Quinn's work causes her to miss several Fashion Club meetings, and the clique drifts apart. Tensions escalate when Stacy secretly wishes that club president Sandi would "just shut up," after which Sandi suffers a vocal cord injury that causes her to lose her voice. At an end-of-year party, after Sandi tries to punish Stacy for her bad thoughts, Stacy stands up for herself and intones that she doesn't want to be a member of the fashion club if it means taking Sandi's abuse. When Quinn and Tiffany join in, Sandi goes along with disbanding the club to save face. After remarking that "it's like the end of an era," the group agrees to hang out the next day as if nothing has changed.

Tom visits Daria to get some closure after the breakup. He tells Daria that he looks up to her and values her opinion, and Daria tells him that he's a good (but imperfect) guy and that she was glad they dated. They agree to keep in touch and remain friends.

At a graduation party, Jane reveals to Daria that she was accepted to BFAC and thanks her for the push to apply. Daria is surprised and proud. Jane expresses excitement that they will both be living in Boston and tells Daria to prepare to be "dragged to more parties." Daria thanks Jane for helping her get through high school.

At graduation, Daria wins an academic award and improvises a speech in which she reiterates her contempt for high school, but ends with a summation of her life philosophy and expresses gratitude for Jane and her family, drawing applause from the crowd. Afterwards, Daria and Jane meet for pizza as usual, and muse on what they will find together once they arrive in Boston for college and begin a new era in their lives.

'Phineas And Ferb' Co-Creators Reveal They Originally Pitched Series To Nickelodeon And Cartoon Network

Dan Povenmire, along with his friend and colleague Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, created Phineas and Ferb back in 1993. A mere 15 years later it was picked up by the Disney Channel and has fast become one of their most popular shows, picked up bucket loads of awards, and been seen by an estimated 289 million people worldwide. As a result, it isn’t a surprise that the series is being revived for a bunch of new episodes that fans will finally get to watch this summer to relive the original’s magic.

However, things might have been almost entirely different, as the series was initially pitched to Nickelodeon, who turned it down whilst it was in development. In an interview, Povenmire and Marsh confirmed they had pitched the series to Nickelodeon, who rejected it before Disney picked it up. Here is what the creators had to say about Nickelodeon rejecting Phineas and Ferb.

The series follows step-brothers Phineas and Ferb, who embark on various adventures during their summer vacation, while trying to keep their sister from interfering with their plans. Meanwhile, their pet platypus, Perry the Platypus, plots against evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Phineas and Ferb started life as a simple doodle Dan Povenmire made during a visit to a restaurant. Povenmire fleshed it out into a concept for a full series with the help of Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. However, the duo’s early attempts to pitch the series to different networks, including Nickelodeon failed.

In an interview with Animation World Network, Povenmire admitted that the series was turned down by two of the biggest children’s networks at the time, saying "I’ve got a pitch over at Cartoon Network. I’ll dust it back off and pitch it to them; if they say no, I’ll dust it off and pitch it to Nickelodeon." However, that did not discourage the duo from sticking to their original idea.

Povenmire explained that one of the main reasons he and Marsh did not give up on the idea was because it was a concept they had the most faith in, having originally conceived it during their time on the hit animated series The Simpsons, as a means to allow themselves to work together as writers.

In a separate interview, Povenmire explained the primary issues Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network had with the series, resulting in them turning it down. The co-creator revealed that most networks felt the series’ multiple ongoing storylines in a single episode were seen as too complex for younger viewers.

"We pitched it everywhere, absolutely everywhere you could possibly pitch it and a few extra places beyond that. It always got a good response, everybody like it," Povenmire said to Skwigly, admitting that while networks had a positive reaction to their pitch, they found it slightly complicated.

Furthermore, the co-creator revealed that their pitch being rejected for several years benefitted them as it allowed the duo to evolve and mature over time. As a result, their focus changed after having their own children. Therefore, the duo tweaked their original pitch to make it more suitable for kids, which resulted in the final version impressing audiences across the globe.

Xilam Animation Greenlights ‘Oggy And The Cockroaches’ Season 9

Academy Award-nominated French animation studio Xilam Animation (I Lost My Body) has greenlit production of a milestone ninth season of its flagship non-dialog comedy franchise, Oggy and the Cockroaches, one of the longest running French animated series. Commissioned by returning French broadcaster France Télévisions, the new season (78 x 7’) is slated for delivery between Q3 2027 and Q2 2028 in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary in 2028.

Including its spin-off series, the franchise spans over 700 episodes. First created by Jean Yves Raimbaud in 1997 and driven by author and director Olivier Jean Marie for over 20 years, Oggy and the Cockroaches has helped launch the careers of many notable talents in today’s French animation scene.

The new season will be directed by Julien Daubas (Oggy and the Cockroaches: The Movie, Asterix and Obelix: The Big Fight) and Lucas Pinatel (Zig & Sharko, Submarine Jim).

Synopsis: Season 9 returns to the core elements that made Oggy and the Cockroaches a global success — led by the inventive and explosive rivalry of Oggy versus the cockroaches.

No longer just a laid-back couch potato, Oggy takes on the day with a giant smile — wake-ups turn into choreography and chores become showtime. But for cockroaches Marky, Dee Dee and Joey — forever determined to spoil his fun — chaos remains the priority, and when Oggy’s unstoppable optimism clashes with their outrageous schemes, the showdown is set to get bigger, louder and wilder than ever.

The series has enjoyed international success over its long run, and is available in over 190 territories worldwide through broadcasters, free and pay TV, and digital platforms. The franchise’s fanbase includes 32 million YouTube subscribers and 17 billion views, with 5 million views per day across six localized channels, as well as 20 million subscribers across Oggy’s social media platforms on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Snap. According to Xilam, the franchise’s popularity is continuing to expand around the world, with particular growth seen in Africa and Asia, including audiences of 60 million in India alone.

“For almost three decades, Oggy and the Cockroaches has endured as one of our most iconic and well-loved creations — with its positive values, hilarious escapades and familiar characters charming generations of fans around the world. In today’s evolving industry landscape, strong legacy brands are more important than ever — and we’re proud to open a new chapter for Oggy alongside our long-standing partners France Télévisions who first commissioned the series 30 years ago,” said Marc du Pontavice, Founder & CEO of Xilam Animation.

“Season nine stays true to the heart of the series but with a dialed-up approach — there’s sharper comedic timing, bolder twists, and a new energy that makes the classic showdown of Oggy versus the cockroaches louder and funnier than ever.”

Cartoon Network’s New Series Goat Girl Celebrates Finding Your Herd This March Across Africa

• Goat Girl is co-directed by Lauri Saunders and Matthieu Giner, who balance the show’s character-driven comedy with themes of resilience and self-belief.
• The voice cast includes Rebecca Hanssen as Gigi, alongside Belinda Stewart‑Wilson, Steven Kynman, Sebastian Charles, Shannon Hayes, Mitchell Zhangazha, Jessie May, Brigid Leahy, Brigid Leahy, Arun Blair-Mangat and Marisa Dargahi.
• Produced by Daily Madness, MIAM! Animation, and Thuristar. In coproduction with KiKA and VRT-Ketnet. With the participation of Warner Bros. Discovery Kids & Family EMEA. Made in association with RTÉ.
• The series is animated in expressive 2D with a bold visual style that highlights Gigi’s quirky nature.
Season 1 consists of 26 x 11’ episodes set in a world where the grass is always greener… and sometimes eaten.

This March, Cartoon Network introduces Goat Girl, a coming‑of‑age comedy about a girl who approaches life with quiet determination, a lot of heart, and just the right amount of goat‑like stubbornness.

A Story About Standing Out, Even When You’re Trying to Fit In

At the centre of the series is Gigi, a 13‑year‑old girl raised by mountain goats. Now stepping into the world of humans for the first time, she faces a challenge far bigger than any cliff face: navigating school, friendships, and the everyday uncertainties of growing up.

The show follows her as she learns to balance her unusual upbringing with the realities of tween life, first tests, first zits, shifting friendships, all while discovering that her “goatiness” may be more of a strength than she realises. As co‑creator Shannon George explains, “She’s stubborn, and she’s strong, and she’s wild… and that really comes to the fore when her goaty instincts kick in.” It’s a description that deepens our understanding of how Gigi’s instincts shape her journey.

A Celebration of Being Yourself

Goat Girl is ultimately a story about belonging, not by changing who you are, but by embracing it. Gigi’s journey mirrors the experiences of many tweens as they figure out where they fit and what makes them unique. Co‑creator Kristina Yee reflects on this idea, noting, “There’s so much joy in being yourself and embracing yourself fully, and being unafraid to show other people who you are… be confident, be your coolest goaty self.” It’s a reminder that sits at the centre of Gigi’s story.

A World Full of Warmth, Humour and Heart

Gigi’s instincts, climbing anything in sight, bleating when she’s excited, or fainting like her goat‑dad Billy, bring a gentle, character‑driven humour to the series. But beneath the comedy is a story about resilience, kindness, and finding your place in a world that doesn’t always make sense.

Find your herd this March when Goat Girl premieres on Cartoon Network Africa (DStv Channel 301) on Monday, 09 March 2026 @ 17:00.

'Rugrats (2021)' Key Art

The newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed is currently available in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and originally debuted as a Paramount+ Original, Rugrats (2021) is a CG-animated reboot of Nickelodeon's much-loved '90s animated series, Rugrats. Much like the original series, Rugrats (2021) followed the adventures of Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil and Lil as they take on the world with their pint-sized perspectives and a diapie full of snacks.

Season two of Rugrats (2021) follows the gang as they cross the frozen tundra, discover the treasures of ancient babies and go on the greatest adventure of all: meeting Tommy’s new brother.

Unfortunately, Rugrats (2021) was canceled mid-way through its season two run in the U.S. eventually being removed from Nickelodeon and Paramount+ altogether. The current batch of new Rugrats (2021) episodes premiering on Nickelodeon Global Unlimited this March includes the latter half of season two, which never got to air in the U.S., either on TV or streaming. A third season of Rugrats (2021) consisting of 13 episodes was ordered before its cancelation, however, the statuses of episodes are unclear.

The babies grow convinced that the cup-and-ball toy has turned Betty back into a child, and although Phil and Lil are excited by this at first, eventually they want their grown-up Mommy back. // Angelica gloats about how great it is that she can talk to grown-ups, rubbing her privileges in the babies' faces. But after straining her vocal cords at a Cynthia concert, she loses her voice and can no longer boss the babies around or demand things from Didi and Stu. The babies take advantage of the situation, so of course Angelica is thrilled when Kimi arrives and offers to be her voice for the day. But Kimi's misinterpretations of Angelica's needs are even more frustrating than not having a voice at all. (#214)

(#222)

Tuesday 10th March 2026 - Big Night / No, No, Nana: Kimi thinks her mama has forgotten to bring her to dinner, so the babies embark on a road trip to the restaurant. // Angelica's nana Judith comes to town and takes a "yes and" approach to babysitting, indulging all of Angelica's reckless ideas. (#223)

Wednesday 11th March 2026 - The Sleepover / The Favor: Tommy spends the night at Phil's and Lil's and is surprised to learn that there's no "sleep" during a sleepover-only partying! // After Susie rescues Josh's stick sword, he owes her a favor, but none of his attempts to pay her back are very nice. Thursday 12th March 2026 - Chuckie Come Home - Part 1: The grown-ups prepare a secret party to celebrate Chas's proposal to Kira, but after a misunderstanding, Chas calls off the whole plan. In fact, he decides he needs a "fresh start," which means taking Chuckie and moving in with Aunt Linda in a whole other city. At Aunt Linda's, Chuckie meets his cousin Archie, who looks a lot like a dog. While the other babies mope around, missing their friend, a new family named the Mehtas move into the Finsters' old house, next door to the Pickles'. The babies meet Darsh Mehta, two and a half, who's just as adventurous as they are, if not more. Meanwhile, the grownups hatch a scheme to reunite Chas and Kira at the Volcano Golf Course, which has special significance for childhood rivals Drew and Linda. (#225)

Friday 13th March 2026 - Chuckie Come Home - Part 2: All the parents and kids have arrived at the Volcano Golf Course, at which point the babies learn there's a volcano at the center of the course where "everything happens." Of course, this must mean they'll be able to find Chuckie there and bring him back home! To get to the volcano, however, they must journey through an animal-filled jungle, a raging river, and a dark cave. Meanwhile, Chuckie sets off on a similar journey from the opposite end of the course, accompanied by Archie. Communicating via their baby monitor walkie-talkies, the two groups head towards the center of the golf course while their parents play through each hole. Kira and Chas prepare to see each other again, nervous but excited to reunite, while Drew and Linda prepare to face off once more at the final hole to seek redemption for a dramatic golf game from their childhood. (#226; season two finale; possible series finale)

Then, at the Toy Fair itself, Strawberry Shortcake’s resurgent fandom will feature alongside brands such as Peanuts, The Cat in the Hat and Peter Rabbit in an industry panel titled “How Entertainment Brands are Leveraging the Nostalgia Boom to Engage Multigenerational Audiences.” Led by moderator Joel Silverman, CEO & Co-Founder of KidsKnowBest, the panel brings together industry leaders, including Kate Smith, WildBrain’s EVP Audience Engagement; Scott Shillet, Peanuts Worldwide’s VP Global Licensing; Ellie Terveen, Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ Chief Operating Officer; and David Sprei, Penguin Ventures’ Commercial Director.
