The deal comes as the series is recommissioned for fifth season by France Télévisions, with presales to the BBC, Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and Super RTL. WBD has also renewed Seasons 1 to 3 for its channels across EMEA and the APAC regions.
Grizzy & the Lemmings Season 5 will take the beloved characters into the realms of time travel for the first time, from the age of dinosaurs to iconic moments in history, where chaos inevitably follows in their own inimitable way.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2027, the International Emmy-nominated series is a fast-paced, non-dialog slapstick comedy that centers on the rivalry between Grizzy — a grumpy bear who claims the park ranger’s house as his own — and a tribe of fearless lemmings who turn his quiet life into chaos.
The show continues to build its cross-platform presence and co-viewing engagement across linear broadcast, SVOD, AVOD and FAST channels. It is a consistent top three rated show on the BBC, France Télévisions and Super RTL, and achieves over 2 billion views per year on YouTube. It is also a Top 10 series on Netflix for kids 6+ including the U.S., where it also airs on Roku, Prime Video and Pluto TV.
“We’re thrilled that Cartoon Network U.S. has once again committed to Grizzy & the Lemmings. As one of the world’s most iconic cartoon brands, Cartoon Network is a fantastic home for Grizzy, and its renewed commitment is a powerful endorsement of the momentum the franchise has built in the U.S.,” said Sophie “Kido” Prigent, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Financing at HARI.
“Nearly a decade after launch, Grizzy has become a global franchise, reaching audiences across every major viewing platform while our licensing program continues to grow. The continued commitment of partners around the world is a testament to the strength and longevity of the brand- and another exciting milestone for HARI as we continue to build globally recognized franchises.”
