'Rugrats (2021)' Key Art

The newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed is currently available in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and originally debuted as a Paramount+ Original, Rugrats (2021) is a CG-animated reboot of Nickelodeon's much-loved '90s animated series, Rugrats. Much like the original series, Rugrats (2021) followed the adventures of Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil and Lil as they take on the world with their pint-sized perspectives and a diapie full of snacks.

Season two of Rugrats (2021) follows the gang as they cross the frozen tundra, discover the treasures of ancient babies and go on the greatest adventure of all: meeting Tommy’s new brother.

Unfortunately, Rugrats (2021) was canceled mid-way through its season two run in the U.S. eventually being removed from Nickelodeon and Paramount+ altogether. The current batch of new Rugrats (2021) episodes premiering on Nickelodeon Global Unlimited this March includes the latter half of season two, which never got to air in the U.S., either on TV or streaming. A third season of Rugrats (2021) consisting of 13 episodes was ordered before its cancelation, however, the statuses of episodes are unclear.

Sunday 1st March 2026 - The Climb / Wolf at the Door: Susie entertains her friends with the story of Jackie, who climbs a magic beanstalk and meets a cranky, sleep-deprived giant. // Susie the House-Finder shows baker Chuckie some house-bakery options, but a big bad wolf named Angelica has other plans. (#215)

(#216)

Tuesday 3rd March 2026 - Mini-Mommy / No Talking: Tía Esperanza comes by to wish Betty, Phil, and Lil a happy Día de los Niños, bringing gifts for all, including a cup-and-ball toy that makes Betty feel like a kid again. At the park, Betty walks away to shred some skateboard tricks, and while she's gone, a little girl who resembles her appears on the playground. The babies grow convinced that the cup-and-ball toy has turned Betty back into a child, and although Phil and Lil are excited by this at first, eventually they want their grown-up Mommy back. // Angelica gloats about how great it is that she can talk to grown-ups, rubbing her privileges in the babies' faces. But after straining her vocal cords at a Cynthia concert, she loses her voice and can no longer boss the babies around or demand things from Didi and Stu. The babies take advantage of the situation, so of course Angelica is thrilled when Kimi arrives and offers to be her voice for the day. But Kimi's misinterpretations of Angelica's needs are even more frustrating than not having a voice at all. (#214)

Wednesday 4th March 2026 - A Scare to Remember / The Long Playdate: A Cynthia doll is missing from Begley's collection, so Angelica recruits Tommy and Chuckie to look for her ghost in the basement. // Although Chas and Kira are enjoying spending more time together, Chuckie and Kimi have trouble bonding. (#217)

Thursday 5th March 2026 - Guitar Man / Uncle Jake's Day Out: When Angelica accidentally breaks her grandpa's "Guitar Man" figurine, the babies help her concoct a monstrous cover story. / Tommy's fun uncle Jake comes to town and inspires Chuckie to live life in the fast lane when they visit the farmer's market. (#218)

Friday 6th March 2026 - Purim: While Uncle Jake teaches the grown-ups how to bake hamantaschen cookies, Boris tells the story of Purim, and the babies envision themselves and other kids on the playground as the story's characters in ancient Persia. (#221; Purim special)

Saturday 7th March 2026 - Surving Dil / Reptar's Mama: The babies must use their survival skills to return a baby kangaroo to its mommy, but Dil seems to get in the way. // Reptar's mama Reptilda is able to schedule a rare visit with her son, and Chuckie wants to ensure they have a perfect day together. (#219)

Sunday 8th March 2026 - The Heist / The Lambster: When Didi and Stu donate Dil's beloved mobile to a charity auction, Tommy recruits veteran thief Angelica to help get it back. // Phil and Lil yearn for a pet, so they perform some questionable science and bring their stuffed animal Lamby to life. (#220)

Monday 9th March 2026 - The Tommy / Breaking Begley: Dil is growing so quickly that he's on track to outgrow Tommy, who now steps aside as leader for the babies' new mission. // After Angelica breaks the leg of Begley's treasured Cynthia, her only hope is to rely on Doctor Susie's doll surgery skills. (#222)

Tuesday 10th March 2026 - Big Night / No, No, Nana: Kimi thinks her mama has forgotten to bring her to dinner, so the babies embark on a road trip to the restaurant. // Angelica's nana Judith comes to town and takes a "yes and" approach to babysitting, indulging all of Angelica's reckless ideas. (#223)

Wednesday 11th March 2026 - The Sleepover / The Favor: Tommy spends the night at Phil's and Lil's and is surprised to learn that there's no "sleep" during a sleepover-only partying! // After Susie rescues Josh's stick sword, he owes her a favor, but none of his attempts to pay her back are very nice. (#224)

Thursday 12th March 2026 - Chuckie Come Home - Part 1: The grown-ups prepare a secret party to celebrate Chas's proposal to Kira, but after a misunderstanding, Chas calls off the whole plan. In fact, he decides he needs a "fresh start," which means taking Chuckie and moving in with Aunt Linda in a whole other city. At Aunt Linda's, Chuckie meets his cousin Archie, who looks a lot like a dog. While the other babies mope around, missing their friend, a new family named the Mehtas move into the Finsters' old house, next door to the Pickles'. The babies meet Darsh Mehta, two and a half, who's just as adventurous as they are, if not more. Meanwhile, the grownups hatch a scheme to reunite Chas and Kira at the Volcano Golf Course, which has special significance for childhood rivals Drew and Linda. (#225)

Friday 13th March 2026 - Chuckie Come Home - Part 2: All the parents and kids have arrived at the Volcano Golf Course, at which point the babies learn there's a volcano at the center of the course where "everything happens." Of course, this must mean they'll be able to find Chuckie there and bring him back home! To get to the volcano, however, they must journey through an animal-filled jungle, a raging river, and a dark cave. Meanwhile, Chuckie sets off on a similar journey from the opposite end of the course, accompanied by Archie. Communicating via their baby monitor walkie-talkies, the two groups head towards the center of the golf course while their parents play through each hole. Kira and Chas prepare to see each other again, nervous but excited to reunite, while Drew and Linda prepare to face off once more at the final hole to seek redemption for a dramatic golf game from their childhood. (#226; season two finale; possible series finale)

Ellipse Animation and Belvision announced their partnership with Nickelodeon last year. The partnership will see Nickelodeon broadcast The Marsupilamis (52 x 11’) worldwide, excluding the U.S.A. and China.

“This fresh take on the iconic character, created over 70 years ago by Belgian author André Franquin, brings the legendary Marsupilami from the wild Palombian jungle into the heart of the city,” said Nickelodeon, which is part of Paramount, now owned by Skydance Media.

Media-Participations’ animation production companies Ellipse Animation (The Smurfs, The Garfield Show) and Belvision (Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods, Zombillenium) are coproducing the new series based on the classic cartoon character. Mediatoon Distribution and Mediatoon Licensing, also part of the family-owned group, are handling international sales and consumer products, and recently introducing The Marsupilamis respectively to MIPCOM and Brand Licensing Europe (BLE).

The Marsupilamis has also been commissioned by other major broadcasters including M6/Gulli in France, RTBF and VRT in Belgium, RTS in Switzerland and Radio Canada.

“Slated to launch in 2026, the comedic, action-packed new series follows twins Jade and Mica who find their world turned upside down when their explorer parents entrust them with three mysterious Marsupilami eggs,” according to a plot description. “Once they hatch, the siblings must get creative to keep their new friends hidden – after all, no one knows these energetic creatures exist, and predators could be lurking around every corner.”

Created over 70 years ago by Belgian artist & writer André Franquin, Marsupilami has become one of the most iconic characters in comic-book history, having been adapted numerous times for television, cinema and videogames. With its eight-meter-long tail, unmissable spotted fur and a distinctive “Houba”-based language, this creature has captured the imagination of kids and families across generations.

In the new animated series, the legendary Marsupilamis swap the wild Palombian jungle for an even wilder place: the city. There, twins Jade and Mica find their world turned upside down when their explorer parents entrust them with three mysterious Marsupilami eggs. Once they hatch, the siblings must get creative to keep their new friends hidden — after all, no one knows these energetic creatures exist, and predators could be lurking around every corner.

The series targets children aged five and up. It is directed by Célestine Jacquel-Plays (Grizzy and the Lemmings), with Andrew Barnett Jones and Ciaran Murtagh (The Amazing World of Gumball) as head writers and Guilhem Deckers (Minions 2) as artistic director. Through a comprehensive 3D production pipeline, the creative team has expanded visual and narrative horizons, blending situational comedy and action-packed scenes.

“We are thrilled to finally present The Marsupilamis series, with our best talents bringing a new take on the most iconic IP of our portfolio,” said Caroline Duvochel, Head of Audiovisual & Innovation at Média-Participations and Managing Director of Ellipse Animation. “An ambitious and unique branding strategy unites all entities within the Média-Participations group, placing The Marsupilamis at the forefront of our creative efforts. Collaborating with the top-tier Paramount team is a true delight, enhancing the global reach and impact of our legendary character.”

Layla Lewis, Senior Vice President (SVP), Global Acquisitions & Content Partnerships for Nickelodeon, added, “We are delighted to be partnering with Ellipse and Belvision to introduce The Marsupilamis to our Nickelodeon audiences. This fresh take on a beloved character brings a vibrant mix of humor, heart and adventure that makes it an excellent addition to our international slate.”

After defeating Fendra and Gastley, Max & The Midknights are living their best lives in Byjovia. Max is in training in knight school, Kevyn runs the royal library, Simon helps animals in need, Millie is in training with Mumblin, and Uncle Budrick is the royal troubadour. Her desire for a new adventure is answered when Queen Nerelia of Tresk shows up begging for help.

A Restless Knight, Part Two: When the Gnomes of Tresk are kidnapped by a mysterious evil, Max & the Midknights volunteer to save them, but Max's plans for her second quest go awry when she learns not all the Midknights are as eager as she is to go on the mission. (#302)

Max is thrilled to go on a new quest, but her plans go awry when she learns that Simon doesn't want to go. Having just settled into Byjovia with his new family, Simon would rather stay home. Despite feeling sad, the Midknights tell him that they understand how he feels. Sadly, Mumblin must also sit out the journey after an accidental tumble down the library steps leaves him in a full body cast. The Midknights set sail down two members. The morning they leave though, Simon has a change of heart. With the help of his animal patients, Simon rushes to the docks to try and catch the Midknights before they sail away from Byjovia. As Simon nears the ship, he and the Midknights are confronted by the angry Clatterback. In the nick of time, Simon convinces the animal to let them go. Simon tells the Midknights that he has changed his mind. They are his family and he's going on this quest with them.

The Spirit of the Sea: As Max and the Midknights sail across the sea on their quest, they get spooked when Uncle Budrick claims there's a ghost on board their ship! Meanwhile, Mumblin fears someone is out to get him. (#303)

Kevyn and Millie aren't seeing eye to eye, Simon is preoccupied helping his animal clients from long distance, and Uncle Budrick is terribly seasick! However, Max is certain she can get them working as a team. But when Uncle Budrick is spooked by something sinister in the shadows below deck, he is convinced he saw a ghost! Determined to get back on mission, Max leads the charge to search the ship and find whatever mysterious presence might be haunting them. They soon find there's no ghost at all-they've been spooked by a stowaway, the former King of Byjovia, Gastley! But as the Midknights are distracted, the ship veers off course and into a powerful storm! They quickly realize they must act as a team in order to steady the ship before it capsizes! Meanwhile, back in Byjovia, Mumblin fears someone might be behind his recent spate of accidents, and takes matters into his own hands...

The Trial of Mumblin the Magician: After being blown off course, the Midknights navigate a set of treacherous waterfalls as they try to reach the Gnomes of Tresk. Meanwhile, Mumblin pleads for his freedom in Wizard Court where the odds are stacked against him. (#304)

When the Midknights' ship is set off course, the team must survive treacherous new waters. Before Max can enact her plan, she is summoned to Wizard Court where Mumblin is on trial for his life. Max must help Mumblin prove that he is a good wizard and that he escaped the afterlife to help the Midknights defeat Fendra. If Max can't, Mumblin will be sent away for good. Max calls on the Midknights to testify on Mumblin's behalf. When those attempts fail, Max takes the stand. At first, Max's emotional testimony seems to win over the court, but her pleas for Mumblin's freedom backfire and Mumblin is ultimately found guilty. Luckily, Kevyn discovers a way to save Mumblin. Max must battle the Worms of Justice and if she wins, then Mumblin will be set free. Transported to a desert, Max battles giant worms. In the end, Max defeats the worms and Mumblin wins his trial. Unfortunately, the Midknights are sent back to their boat, which is headed straight for a massive waterfall!

The voice cast behind the Midknights, a group of misfits each with their own unique talent, include: Blu del Barrio (Star Trek: Discovery) as Max, a brave and determined girl ready to take on any challenge headed her way; Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live) as Millie, a wacky yet super positive girl who brings the power of magic to the Midknights; Zeno Robinson (Transformers: EarthSpark) as Simon, Millie’s street-savvy and sometimes sarcastic companion; and Caleb Yen (Beyblade X) as Kevyn, the bookish genius with a photographic memory. Together, the group accomplishes nearly everything that they set their mind to achieve.

Alongside the Midknights, Jeremy Rowley (iCarly) lends his voice as Uncle Budrick, Max’s lovably silly parental figure and professional troubadour, Gary Anthony Williams (Central Park) voices Mumblin, a famous retired magician who helps guide the Midknights on their quests, Brian Stepanek (The Loud House) voices King Gastley, the nefarious ruler of Byjovia, willing to do whatever it takes to maintain his throne, and India de Beaufort (It’s Pony) voices Fendra, a dark sorceress working for King Gastley.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank, Max & the Midknights is executive produced by Lincoln Peirce (Big Nate) and Jane Startz (Ella Enchanted). Paramount Cancels DORA And 2D-Animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles On Nickelodeon

Also Read

The upcoming seasons of Nickelodeon's CG-animated DORA and 2D-animated Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be their last.

Season two of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres on Paramount+ in December and will run on Nicktoons next year. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, the series bridges the gap between Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures' blockbuster TMNT movie, Mutant Mayhem, and it's upcoming sequel, currently slated for release in 2027. The franchise is expected to continue with IDW's TMNT comics.

The debut of Dora‘s fourth season on the streamer was originally slated for the fourth quarter of this year, but is now TBD. It too will be followed by a linear window on Nick Jr. A fifth and final season of Dora also has been produced; its fate is unclear. A reimagining of Nickelodeon's iconic Latina heroine, the series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation, with the show's cancellation coming as the franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Paramount is actively exploring third-party licensing opportunities for both series, something the company has been doing consistently for a number of years, with a number of Nickelodeon titles available on Netflix, for example.

The cancellation decisions come on the heels of the post Paramount-Skydance merger restructuring. In it, all Paramount linear networks, including Nickelodeon, as well as the Nickelodeon Animation Studios, which produces the majority of the Nick animated shows, including Dora and Ninja Turtles, were consolidated into a TV Media division overseen by Chair George Cheeks.

In a memo last week announcing TV Media’s executive structure, Cheeks hinted at a slimming down the current roster of cable series.

“Our cable brands will focus on a more curated slate, optimizing programming and marketing resources to amplify what resonates most,” he said. “That means leaning into franchises like SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, RuPaul’s Drag Race, South Park, Ms. Pat and The Daily Show, while continuing to develop new IP across our studios and seeking new ways to amplify and connect with audiences.”

Not surprisingly, Nick’s flagship franchises, SpongeBob SquarePants and PAW Patrol, made the list of priority linear brands. Neither Dora nor Ninja Turtles did but both have a long history at the network and may be revisited in the future with new iterations.

The Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cancellation was first reported by The InSneider.

Sky New Zealand Launches Two New Channels To Replace Paramount's Offering And Cartoon Network

Also Read

Sky New Zealand is launching two new self-branded channels to replace Paramount’s Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Comedy Central and Cartoon Network, which are ceasing transmission from early December.

The new offerings, Sky Comedy and Sky Kids, will carry programming from the expiring channels in addition to new shows from a range of studios and locally commissioned content.

“Kids and comedy programming are at the heart of Sky’s entertainment offering. By bringing these important channels ‘in-house’ we can choose and curate the content that we know our customers enjoy and engage with, combining Paramount fan favourites with content from other studios,” said Fiona Murray, Sky NZ’s head of entertainment.

Sky Comedy will feature Comedy Central content including the final season of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, South Park, The Daily Show and Beavis & Butt-Head, in addition to retro classics including Cheers, Reno 911!, Nathan For You and Key & Peele.

Sky Kids is being pitched as offering educational programming for preschoolers through to primary school-age children. Former Nickelodeon and Nick Jr content will be included alongside “a strong slate of local programming.”

The new outlet will complement the existing CBeebies channel, providing local content including Katie’s Kuri and The Last Moa, as well as multiple seasons of home-grown hits such as Kiri & Lou, The Drawing Show, Extreme Cake Sports and Secrets at Red Rocks.

Sky NZ said some content from the axed channels will continue to be available via on-demand on the new Sky Experience service across the Sky Box and Sky Pod platforms. Cartoon Network content will continue to be available on-demand through the HBO Max hub via the Sky Entertainment package.

The broadcaster has also partnered with Mood TV to bring two new local music channels to its channel line-up, Juice TV and J2, which effectively replace MTV Hits and MTV 80s. In line with the global shutdown of the MTV brand, the music channels will no longer be available via linear in New Zealand.

In October, it was announced that MTV linear channels would progressively shut down in the UK, Poland, France and Brazil. In Australia, the MTV brand has suffered a similar fate, with its channels having been shut down weeks ago by OTT provider Fetch TV. Paramount owned Australian channels MTV 80s, MTV 90s, MTV 00s, MTV Club and MTV Hits which were previously carried by Foxtel in a deal that was not renewed.

All changes to Sky NZ programming take effect from December 2.

‘SpongeBob’ Universe Expands With Three Paramount+ Spinoff Movies, New Theatrical Film

Also Read

Three new SpongeBob SquarePants character spinoff movies for Paramount+ are in the works at Nickelodeon Studios, in addition to a new theatrical release about the porous resident who lives in a Pineapple-under-the-sea. The news was announced today by Brian Robbins, Chief Content Officer, Movies and Kids & Family for Paramount+ at the ViacomCBS Investor Event.

The first of Paramount+’s SpongeBob character spinoff movies, which focus on different Bikini Bottom residents, will drop in 2023.

The expansion of the SpongeBob franchise follows the recent success of SpongeBob series offshoots Kamp Koral on Paramount+ and The Patrick Star Show on Nickelodeon, the first season of which will be available soon to stream on Paramount+.

Paramount has made three SpongeBob feature movies, the first in 2004, which altogether have grossed close to $471M worldwide. The highest grossing installment was 2015’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water which grossed over $325M WW. However, because of the pandemic, Paramount was forced to pull The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run from U.S. release in 2020. The sequel received a Canadian theatrical release in August of that year, making $4.8M, while the film in the states served as the branded launch for Paramount+ in 2021. The pic’s foreign rights, except for China, were sold to Netflix.

“As we’ve known with Nickelodeon’s long-standing success, the kids and family audience is incredibly loyal, and we see that on Paramount+ as well, with kids and family ranking as one of the strongest genres on the service in terms of both engagement and subscriber acquisition,” said Robbins. “So as they stay for our shows and look for even more of them, we’re doubling down on giving them what they want by expanding the universes of the characters they love the best.”

Skydance Media Plans To Merge Their Operations With Paramount Global, Could This Have An Everlasting Affect On Nickelodeon And MTV?

Also Read

As some readers are aware, Shari Redstone is looking to sell her shares in Paramount Global home to MTV and Nickelodeon. Currently, Skydance Media and Sony Pictures Television in a joint bid with Apollo Global Management are battling it out.

The Sony-Apollo deal has garnered a lot of media scrutiny as insiders report a possible dismemberment of their linear portfolio. With Paramount Studios being merged onto Sony Pictures Television current offering and studio lots auctioned off.

Skydance Media proposal is said to be favorable because unlike Sony-Apollo they wouldn't go through any regulatory hurdles for foreign ownership. Their plan would be to merge their operations with Paramount Global of course the finer details haven't been outlined.

From what several sources uncovered, Skydance Media is planning to merge/bundle Paramount+ with another streaming service. It is no secret that Netflix and Disney+ have been edging out the competition so it's likely they're looking after Paramount’s interests.

Skydance Media has worked with Paramount Global on several projects such as Mission: Impossible, Transformers, Top Gun, Jack Reacher and Star Trek.

If anything, we presume a possible merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global could lead to a reduction of content or at least for its linear portfolio. As mentioned, Skydance wants to merge Paramount+ with another streaming service.

On top of that they've got several projects in development and with Paramount Pictures they'll expand on that. Prior to acquisition talks, Netflix had licensed various content from Nickelodeon like Saving Bikini Bottoms: The Sandy Cheeks Movie and Fairly OddParents: A New Wish.

Although Sony-Apollo would lead to the purging of TV channels outside of regulatory confinement. These channels could lose credibility under Skydance Media and serve as second fiddle to the endeavors licensed to Netflix or even Apple TV+.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is an American animated television series created by Stephen Hillenburg and developed by Luke Brookshier, Marc Ceccarelli, Andrew Goodman, Kaz, Mr. Lawrence, and Vincent Waller that premiered on Paramount + on March 4, 2021.

The series is a prequel and spinoff of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants, featuring younger versions of the characters as they attend summer camp. The camp is run by Mr. Krabs with Mrs. Puff overseeing camp activities.

In August 2021, the series was renewed for a 13-episode second which is slated to be released in later in the year. Although, the series hadn't been officially cancelled the second season's commission was halved by the network.

Unlike Baby Shark’s Big Show and That Girl Lay Lay whose episodes were burned off on secondary networks. Kamp Koral will be having its final prayers on Nickelodeon likely due to the purging of shows due in light of Quiet On Set and corporate write offs.

Nickelodeon's future as a network had since then remained in doubt. As the parent company embarks on a possible acquisition and shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender (live-action) and The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish rolling out on Netflix globally.

Paramount+ Removes 10 Nickelodeon Titles Including ‘Blue’s Clues & You!’ & ‘Rugrats’ Series

Also Read

Paramount+ has purged 10 Nickelodeon original series, following the removal of other Nick titles from the platform over the past several months.

The list includes Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019-2022), Blue’s Clues & You! (2019), It’s Pony (2020-2022), Middlemost Post (2021-2022), Ollie’s Pack (2020), Ryan’s Mystery Playdate (2019-2023), Santiago of the Seas (2020), That Girl Lay Lay (2021-2024) as well as the made-for-Paramount+ Big Nate (2022)and Rugrats (2021).

This is said to be part of content removal addressed in the most recent Q4 earnings call on February 28. Targeting Nick titles is a little surprising as, according to parent Paramount Global, the network’s Kids & Family content consistently ranks among the most watched and re-watched programming on Paramount+.

“In connection with our continued review of our international content strategy, during the first quarter of 2024 we made a strategic decision to focus on content with mass global appeal,” the company said in its 10-K filing. “As part of this, we are rationalizing original content on Paramount+, especially internationally, and improving the efficiency of our linear network programming. As a result, we have reviewed our expansive global content portfolio and are removing select content from our platforms.”

Paramount expects “to recognize additional programming charges that we currently expect to be in the range of approximately $700 million to $900 million during the first quarter of 2024.”

Nickelodeon's Live-Action Slate On Possible Hiatus Following Release Of ID's Documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV

Also Read

During the week, Investigation Discovery unveiled a new four part documentary series, Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV. With a fifth episode set to rollout in the coming weeks which sees various former Nickelodeon stars talk about their experience on the network.

Episode 3 garnered the most attention after All That and Drake And Josh star Drake Bell came forward to address the abuse he experienced as a minor. Since then, several notable figures came forward to voice their support with talks over the matter still ongoing.

Nickelodeon had responded to the revelations on Quiet On Set but some child actors feel more needs to be done by the network:

“Though we cannot corroborate or negate allegations of behaviors from productions decades ago, Nickelodeon as a matter of policy investigates all formal complaints as part of our commitment to fostering a safe and professional workplace environment free of harassment or other kinds of inappropriate conduct. Our highest priorities are the well-being and best interests not just of our employees, casts, and crew, but of all children, and we have adopted numerous safeguards over the years to help ensure we are living up to our own high standards and the expectations of our audience.”

Schneiderverse hold on Nickelodeon

Following the release of Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV, Nickelodeon has distanced themselves from anything Schneider this includes Henry Danger and Danger Force shows that form part of the Dangerverse and also the last of Dan's masterpieces.

In 2019, Nickelodeon did an investigation on misconduct in the workplace and fired Dan Schneider after investigation concluded. Although, he has no involvement in any projects from the network he is still being credited amongst properties.

Drake Bell after coming forward on Quiet On Set had criticized the network for keeping these shows on air for several years. It has caused further live-action on the channel to be boycott with their future in jeopardy.

As some readers aware, Nickelodeon currently has only two live-action projects on the air, The Really Loud House and Tyler Perry's Young Dylan. Following cancelations to Danger Force and That Girl Lay Lay, these shows are likely to suffer the same effect if not worse.

We're not saying Nickelodeon won't offer any further live-action but the toxicity that persisted on previous projects would endanger their success rate. If anything, it's possible Nickelodeon could put more attention to their animation slate.

Something we've kind of seen Disney Channel put more emphasis as they've got a new movie on Big City Greens coming out alongside a new season of Phineas And Ferb. Monsters At Work which was previously a Disney+ first had moved to the network for Season 2.

Although Nickelodeon doesn't have a consistent lineup of content its one of the very few brands alongside Disney Channel to offer anything noteworthy as all other content is streamed these days.
