Episode 3
Zeynep discovers bruises on Kader's body and realizes that the little girl has been beaten. Shocked and furious, she immediately tells Serhat that Kader has been abused.
Although disturbed by what he hears, Serhat insists that Kader cannot stay at the mansion.
Zeynep refuses to accept his response. She reminds him that this is Kader's mother's home too and that the child deserves to be safe.
Turning to Kader, Zeynep gently reassures her that she is safe now and that no one will hurt her there. Before leaving, she tells Kader that she will come to see her more often and should keep the piece of paper she gave her so they can talk.
As Zeynep leaves, Serhat tells her that she cannot do this. Without turning around, Zeynep replies she already has.
Later, a furious Zeynep arrives at Tülay's house with her sister, Ezra. She knocks at her door as she wants to show her exactly what it means to abuse a child.
Serhat tells Zeynep that if Kader is going to stay at his house, then she will have to stay there as well. He tells Zeynep that Kader will not tell his daughters—or anyone else—anything about what has happened and will keep her distance from them.
Zeynep immediately refuses, insisting that she has no intention of moving into his house.
Serhat then gives her an ultimatum that until he finds Kader's biological father, she has only two choices: either she stays at the mansion with Kader or he will hand her over to social services.
Zeynep tells Serhat that if his conscience allows him to send an innocent child to social services, then he should go ahead.
Later, Ezra tries to reason with her sister. She points out that Serhat is a wealthy and influential man and believes he will carry out his threat if Zeynep refuses. Ezra suggests that Zeynep temporarily work at the mansion, convinced that Serhat will find Kader's father sooner rather than later.
Zeynep still refuses. Just then, she notices Kader asleep in the back seat of Serhat's car.
Ezra tells her sister that it's up to you to save Kader. Moved by Kader's situation, Zeynep walks back to Serhat and asks what her role would be at the mansion because she has no intention of working as a maid. Serhat explains that he wants her to look after his daughters.
After thinking for a moment, Zeynep agrees—but on one condition. She wants her salary paid upfront. Serhat asks how much she wants. Without hesitation, Zeynep replies, "800,000 lira."
Serhat accepts her demand without bargaining. He tells her that his driver will come to pick her up and reminds her that, from now on, she is to address him as Mr. Serhat.
Zeynep silently agrees, knowing she is doing it for Kader's sake rather than for the money.
At home, Zeynep's mother is worried about her daughter moving into the house of a man she barely knows. She asks Zeynep to reconsider, fearing for her safety.
Zeynep reassures her that there is nothing to worry about. She says Serhat doesn't seem like a dangerous man and promises that she will take care of herself.
Her father is also uncomfortable with the decision. He asks why she feels she has to do this.
Zeynep explains that there is no one else who can protect Kader. She cannot bear the thought of the little girl living alone in the house of strangers without someone she can trust.
Her father then asks how long she plans to stay at the mansion.
"I don't know," Zeynep replies. "Maybe less than a month. I'll leave as soon as Serhat finds Kader's father."
Before leaving, Zeynep asks both of her parents not to tell Tülay where she is going. She wants it to remain their secret until they discover the truth about Kader's father.
Later, at the mansion, Serhat introduces Zeynep to his daughters, explaining that she will be looking after them until their mother recovers.
Zeynep warmly introduces herself and tries to make a good first impression, but the girls respond coldly. They treat her rudely before walking away without another word.
Afterward, Serhat hands Zeynep a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). He explains that she must sign it, agreeing not to reveal anything she learns about his family to anyone.
Zeynep reminds him that she has already given him her word that she would keep everything confidential, but Serhat insists that a promise is not enough and asks her to sign the document anyway. After signing the agreement, Serhat tells Zeynep that her room is upstairs, the first door on the left, before leaving her to settle into the mansion.
Cihan thinks Serhat has made a terrible mistake by bringing Kader into the mansion. He warns his brother that the situation is becoming too complicated.
Serhat explains that he has no other choice. Kader will stay with them only until he finds her biological father. He adds that if the police become involved before then, the entire situation could turn into a much bigger scandal.
Determined to uncover the truth, Serhat continues searching for clues. His investigation leads him to the place where Berrak got her tattoos.
Showing the tattoo artist a photograph of Berrak, Serhat asks if he remembers her. The man immediately recognizes her and recalls that she came in with her own tattoo design. Serhat explains that Berrak was recently involved in a serious accident and tells the artist that she had the tattoo done while she was with another man. He asks if he remembers the man's name or what he looked like.
The tattoo artist thinks for a moment before replying that he does remember Berrak arriving with someone, but unfortunately he can't remember the man's name or any details about him.
Just then, Serhat receives a phone call informing him that his daughters had a fight.
Meanwhile, Sevim calls Cihan and asks him to contact several agencies to find a new babysitter. She insists that the woman Serhat brought into the house is not suitable for the job. Cihan tells his mother that he will look into it.
After picking his daughters up from school, Serhat asks them what happened. Zeynep is present as he tries to get to the bottom of the fight. Serhat asks what the problem is between them.Ilkim immediately says that Hayal hit her first. Hayal doesn't deny it. Instead, she says that Ilkim keeps telling the other children not to be friends with her, leaving her all alone at school. Serhat turns to Hayal and asks if she really hit her sister. Hayal admits that she did. She then innocently says that Zeynep taught her to stand up to bullies. Surprised, Zeynep quickly denies ever telling Hayal to hit anyone.
Hayal then remembers a conversation they had in which Zeynep mentioned standing up to a bully in her own neighborhood.
Zeynep turns to Ilkim and gently asks if she has been bullying her sister. Serhat also asks Ilkim if what Hayal is saying is true.
Ilkim replies that Hayal is a loser and that their mother hates losers. Serhat tells Ilkim that he doesn't care what their mother hated.
Just then, Ilkim notices her mother's scarf sticking out of Kader's pocket. She snatches it away and angrily accuses Kader of stealing it.
Zeynep steps in and defends her. She says Kader probably took the scarf because she liked it or wanted to play with it, not because she intended to steal anything.
Still upset, Ilkim demands that her father throw both Zeynep and Kader out of the house.
Serhat looks at his daughter and firmly tells her that Zeynep and Kader are staying, and that the matter is no longer up for discussion.
After the incident, Zeynep apologizes to Serhat for what Hayal said at school. She explains that if she had realized the problem was a case of sibling rivalry, she would have been much more careful with her words.
Serhat replies that if he had wanted an ordinary nanny, he could have hired someone with a formal education.
Offended, Zeynep asks what made him assume she isn't educated. She then reminds him that Berrak allowed one of their daughters to bully the other in an attempt to make her lose weight. "Is that what you call being educated?" she asks.
Serhat has no response. Instead, he changes the subject and tells Zeynep to keep an eye on Kader.
Zeynep explains that Kader took the red scarf because it reminded her of Berrak. She insists that the little girl never intended to steal it.
The next day, Zeynep helps Hayal get ready for her piano recital. Nervous, Hayal admits that she is afraid she will freeze on stage.
Zeynep gently reassures her, telling her to relax because she has practiced hard and will do wonderfully.
When Hayal walks onto the stage, the audience applauds. Wanting to boost the little girl's confidence, Zeynep lets out a loud whistle and cheers enthusiastically, drawing everyone's attention.
Embarrassed, Serhat quietly tells Zeynep not to make a scene. He adds that bringing Kader to the recital was a mistake. Zeynep explains that Kader only wanted to watch her sister perform. Serhat coldly replies that Kader has no connection to his daughters.
As Hayal begins playing the piano, Serhat notices something that stops him in his tracks. Her piano instructor has the exact same tattoo that Berrak had.
The sight immediately brings back everything he has discovered about Berrak's secret past. Consumed by rage and convinced he has finally found the man he has been searching for, Serhat rushes toward the instructor and brutally attacks him, beating him until others intervene and pull him away.
